Get your running gear at the ready and help celebrate 19 years of the popular Armagh 10 Mile Road Race & 4 Mile Fun Challenge which will take place on Sunday, October 14 at 12noon from the Navan Centre, Armagh.

Lord Mayor of Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon, councillor Julie Flaherty said: “I am delighted to launch the annual Road Race now in its 19th year. The fun-filled event brings hundreds of athletes together. It will be great to see so many sports clubs and schools taking part in the 4 Mile Challenge to raise much needed funds.

“I am especially delighted that £1 from each entry fee will be donated to my chosen charity for the year which is Down’s Syndrome Association NI.

“I wish all participants well for whichever race they take part in and I encourage everyone to come along and support this fantastic event”.

Event sponsor Michael Macklin, Digby’s Restaurant, Killylea added: “We are delighted to continue to support this event bringing athletes, clubs and families together in a fun and safe environment. Families can finish off their day by having dinner or other much needed refreshments in our restaurant close by.”

Everyone who takes part in the event receives a t-shirt and medal.

Late entries will be taken between 10am-11am on Sunday, October 14 with fees of £10 for the 4 Mile Fun Challenge and £20 for the 10 Mile.
