Market Place Theatre: Belfast-born Michael McHale to take to the stage in Armagh

For this concert, Michael will perform Beethoven, alongside a piece by Linda Buckley and new commission from rising NI composer Áine Mallon.

Belfast-born Michael McHale has established himself as one of Ireland’s leading pianists and has developed a busy international career as a solo recitalist, concerto soloist and chamber musician.

A multi award-winning musician, Michael has performed as a soloist with the Minnesota, Hallé, Moscow Symphony and Bournemouth Symphony Orchestras, City of London Sinfonia, London Mozart Players and all five of the major Irish orchestras.

His discography of over twenty albums began with the release of ‘The Irish Piano’ in 2012, and now includes duo work with Michael Collins and trio release with Demarre McGill and Anthony McGill which features special narrations by Oscar-winner Mahershala Ali and immediately entered the Top 25 US Billboard Classical Chart.
