A 21-year-old Co Armagh man accused of making and selling indecent images of children has been refused bail.
Alexander McCartney of Lissummon Road, in south Armagh, appeared at Newry Magistrates’ Court earlier today (Wednesday) charged with possession, making and distributing indecent images of children.
The 21-year-old is also charged with sexual activity with a child and intimidation to commit sexual activity with a child.
The alleged offences are said to have taken place between May 2018 and July 2019.
District Judge Eamonn King refused bail on the strength of arguments put forward by the prosecution.
The case was adjourned to August 28 with McCartney remanded in custody until then.
