Seized farm machinery ‘was not stolen’

A slurry tanker and excavator, seized during searches of properties in Armagh, Milford and Granemore last month, are no longer being treated  as stolen.
Police had seized the machinery, along with a sum of cash and unregistered cattle, and believed it to be stolen property. Enquiries have revealed that this is not the case.
The cash and cattle are still the subject of an investigation.
Police say they will continue to focus on rural crime during the coming weeks and would encourage the community to report any activity which appears suspicious or out of place. The  number to phone is 0845 600 8000.
