A man accused of murdering an elderly couple in Co Armagh last month is to appear back in court this morning (Friday).
Thomas Scott McEntee is charged with the murders Marjorie and Michael Cawdery at their home in Portadown on May 27 .
The 40-year-old from Moorfield Court in Kilkeel, Co Down, has been remanded in custody since his first appearance days after the murder on June 30.
A detective chief inspector told the court then that he believed he could connect the accused to the crimes.
The bodies of the elderly couple were found in their home in Upper Ramone Park by their daughter-in-law.
McEntee has also been charged with burglary and the theft of the couple’s car, which was found by police a mile from the scene.
The court also heard he was armed with a knife when he allegedly broke into their home.
