Two men arrested following the report of a car driving erratically and following another vehicle on the A1 near Sheepbridge have been released on bail.
Shortly before 9.25pm on Sunday night, police received a report of the alleged incident.
A number of items were thrown from the Vauxhall Crossland causing damage to the second car, a red Volkswagen Golf.
Officers attended and a short time later and located two of the men, aged 37 and 38, believed to be passengers in the Vauxhall.
On Monday night, police confirmed that both had been “released on bail pending further enquiries”.
