Incredible response to Niall Quinn online donation campaign

There has been an incredible response to an online donation campaign set up following the tragic death of Silverbridge man Niall Quinn in Australia.

The Niall ‘Nidge’ Quinn fund on the Go Fund Me website was set up on Thursday with the goal of raising $10,000 for the Kevin Bell Repatriation Trust.

Within 15 hours it had raised $50,000 with the number continuing to climb to well over $60,000 by Friday morning.

Sinn Fein counillor Barra O’Muiri said: “This is further proof, if proof were needed, of the deep affection that Niall was held in and the amount of people he touched in his all too short life.

“Of course this will be hugely appreciated by Niall’s family at this incredibly difficult time, but also by the Kevin Bell Repatriation Trust, who have so often come to the aid of so many people in their darkest hours.

“The campaign is still open and anyone who wishes can donate by going to www.gofundme.com/t4xstkks or searching Niall ‘Nidge’ Quinn on www.gofundme.com.”
