Banbridge police appeal over burglary and assault

Police in Banbridge are appealing for information in relation to two recent incidents – an assault and a burglary.

Sometime between 9pm on Saturday, January 31 and 3am on Sunday, February 1, entry was forced to a house in Knollwood.

Constable Shauna Magennis said: “A number of items, including a safe, cash and passports, were taken.

“We would like to hear from anyone who has information in relation to this incident and can be contacted in Banbridge on 101, quoting ref: 255010215.”

The assault, meanwhile, happened at around 8.40pm on Sunday, February 1, when a 24-year-old man was set on by a group of males on Bridge Street.

Constable Jay Morrison said: “He sustained facial injuries.

“We would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the assault or has information in relation to this incident. We can be contacted in Banbridge on 101, quoting ref: 273040215.”
