Woman punched and kicked in daylight street attack

Police in Lurgan are appealing for information after a woman was attacked in the town recently.

Constable Seaneen Hughes said it happened shortly before 1.30pm on Sunday, 19 April.

The 27-year-old victim was walking onto Albert Street when she was attacked from behind. The assailant, who is believed to be male, punched the female to her head and kicked her. She sustained facial injuries and bruising.

Constable Hughes said: “We would like to hear from anyone who witnessed this attack or has information in relation to it. We can be contacted in Lurgan on 101, quoting ref: 617 200415.”
