Two arrests after separate drug searches

Police in Craigavon, Co Armagh, have arrested a 19-year-old man after recovering a suspected firearm and drugs.
Officers conducted the search of a house in the Lurgantarry area on Wednesday, December 18 and seized a suspected firearm, fireworks and a quantity of herbal cannabis.
The teenager was arrested for possession of a firearm without a licence, possession of fireworks without a licence, possession of  Class B drugs, being concerned in the supply of Class B drugs and resisting  arrest. He was later bailed pending further enquiries.
The suspected firearms and drugs were sent for further examination.
Also in Craigavon police arrested a 32-year-old man after seizing a quantity of suspected cocaine.
The drugs were seized during the planned search of a house in  the Old Fort Lodge area and have an estimated street value of £1400.
A quantity of herbal cannabis and a sum of cash were also recovered during the search which  took place on Wednesday, December 18.
The man was arrested for possession of Class A and B drugs, possession of criminal property and no insurance.
He was later released  on bail pending further enquiries.
