Valuable power tools have been stolen from a building site in south Armagh.
And police have appealed for the public’s help after the latest in a spate of incidents where workmen have been targeted in recent weeks.
The theft from a construction site on the Ballintemple Road in Killeavy happened late on Tuesday night or during the early hours of Wenesday morning.
A PSNI spokesperson said: “This type of crime affects people’s livelihoods, particularly when you take into account the value of the tools stolen and the high cost to replace them.
“Our investigation is ongoing and we would like your help to catch those responsible. Were you in the area at any time late on Tuesday night or early on Wednesday morning and did you see anything or anyone suspicious? Do you have any information which could help our enquiries?
“If so, or if you get offered power tools for sale in suspicious circumstances, please give us a call on 101 quoting reference 275 of 23/5/18.
“You can also provide information completely anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
