Sex offender found dead at his Co Armagh home

The death of a County Armagh man – convicted on numerous charges of possessing child porn pictures – is not being treated as suspicious by police.

Lawrence Henderson was placed on probation for three years for possessing thousands of images of children.

He admitted a string of charges at Craigavon Court in October 2014.

The offence had come to light after his computer was taken to a shop for repair and the police were alerted.

The body of the 36-year-old was found this morning (Friday) in Lurgan.

Lawrence Henderson had been on the Sex Offenders Register and his sentencing to Probation had led to appeals by local political representatives for the sentence to be reviewed.

Police have confirmed they attended the scene of a “sudden death” on the Kilwilkie Road today.

A spokesperson told the Lurgan Mail: “The death is not being treated as suspicious at this time.”
