Second robbery at credit union

TWO men – one armed with a hatchet, the other a handgun – have robbed a credit union in Forkhill in the second such robbery in a fortnight.

At about 7pm on Saturday, the pair, both with scarfs over their mouths, walked into the premises at Main Street and demanded money.

They escaped with cash and are believed to have driven away in a blue Toyota Avensis.

It is the second such incident at the premises in the space of two weeks. On Friday, November 23, three men, one armed with a handgun and another with a hatchet, robbed the same credit union.
