Two men armed with knife made off with cash and jewelry in Portadown town centre robbery

Detectives are investigating an armed robbery at a jewellers in Portadown town centre this afternoon (Saturday)  are appealing for information and witnesses.

The incident occurred shortly after 2pm, when two men, both of whom were wearing facemasks, entered the jewellers on Church Lane.

One of the males was armed with a knife which he used to threaten two members of staff.

The robbers demanded money and jewellery. The pair then made off with both cash and jewellery in the direction of Obin Street.

Both males are described as wearing navy blue tops and one male was wearing a grey flat cap.

Detectives would like to hear from anyone who may have seen the two males leave the jewellers or at any time after the robbery, or anyone who recorded mobile phone or dash-cam footage. Please call 101, quoting reference 1073 08/08/20.
