A Portadown football club looks set to be playing at upgraded facilities soon – if its planning application is approved.
The application was lodged by agent Gray Design, on behalf of St Mary’s Youth Football Club on Tuesday, March 23.
If approved, the proposal will see a 3G playing pitch with floodlights and fencing as well as a new covered sheltered viewing area, dugouts and associated groundworks built at lands adjacent to 6 Moy Road.
The 0.9 hectare site is, according to the application documents, currently used as an existing playing field and car park.
The consultation period for the application expires on Friday, May 7 with the application due to be advertised until Friday, May 14.
