Cruel thieves steal van containing motocross equipment belonging to owner’s son

One arrested but vehicle still missing as police make public appeal

A van containing motocross equipment has been stolen from Portadown.

It was taken from the Annagh Hill industrial estate sometime between Thursday and Friday last, June 28 and 29.

The blue Transit van had the registration number IJZ2132.

A man has been arrested for vehicle theft, vehicle interference, and possession of class C drugs.

But the vehicle remains missing and the police have issued an appeal for the public’s help to try and recover it.

The PSNI in Craigavon, who said: “The van contains a significant amount of motocross equipment in it which belong to the owner’s son. This is a hobby, hours and days of summer fun, stolen by heartless thieves.

“If you have seen a blue Transit with motocross equipment, or saw anything suspicious in the area at the time, please call us on 101.

“The reference number is 1693 of 29/06/18.

“Alternatively, you can speak anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
