Tributes have been paid to former Glenavon Manager Billy McClatchey who passed away peacefully on Friday.
The club have paid tribute to their former player and and manager.
“It is with great sadness that we have to record the death of Billy McClatchey,” said a club spokesperson.
“Billy served the club with distinction in a number of roles including player, coach and latterly as manager from September 1978 to November 1979.
“During Billy’s tenure as manager the club qualified for Europe after finishing runners-up in the league championship.
“Sincere condolences are sent to his sons Stephen, Martin, David and Gary and entire family circle at this very sad time.”
Funeral service on Sunday at 2pm in St. Marks Parish Church, Portadown with committal following in Kernan cemetery.
