Appeal after scrambler taken from crash scene where young man suffered ‘life-changing’ injuries

Police are appealing for information in relation to a one vehicle road traffic collision in Portadown earlier this year.

A report was received by police at around 4pm on Friday, July 3, that a 21-year-old man had fallen from a scrambler motorcycle at Churchill Park in Portadown.

The man was taken to hospital for treatment to serious facial and spinal injuries, which were described by medical staff as life-changing.

The scrambler, which was red and black in colour, is believed to have been taken from the scene after the collision by an unidentified man.

This man was wearing a grey and black jacket with blue jeans and had short dark hair.

The investigation into the collision is ongoing and officers are appealing for witnesses, or anyone who may be able to assist in locating the scrambler, or the man who removed it from the scene, to contact them on 101 quoting reference number 1237 03/07/20.
