Police probe distraction burglary at licensed premises

Police in South Armagh are appealing for information after a report of a distraction burglary at licenced premises in the Jonesborough area last Wednesday,  May 21.

At around 9pm, it was reported that one male and three females entered a shop in the area.

It is believed that the male distracted a female member of staff, while the three females reportedly made off from the property with a quantity of alcohol.

The four, believed to foreign nationals, made off in a red Ford Focus car towards the Edenappa Road area. Enquiries are continuing.

Anyone with any information about this incident is asked to contact police at Newtownahamilton Police Station on the non-emergency number 101.
