Police have warned people against getting involved after being made aware of a fight being organised via social media.
The PSNI in Newry and Mourne say they are aware of the plans for the fight which is due to take place in the Barcroft area of the city.
But they have taken to their own social media platforms to warn those considering going along to ‘think again’!
“We have resources in place to prevent this and ensure everyone’s safety,” they say.
“If you are tempted to go along for ‘the craic’ please reconsider.
“Our officers will deal with any offences robustly and you don’t want to end up in a cell.”
They have also appealed to parents to intervene and urged them to “know where your kids are”.
