Police hunt after violent burglary in Crossmaglen

Police are appealing for witnesses following an aggravated burglary at a home in south Armagh.

The incident happened at a property in the Newry Road area of Crossmaglen at around 3.15pm on Saturday.

The PSNI said men entered the property and made off with a sum of cash. The occupant was not injured, but was left shaken by the incident.

One of the men is described as being approximately 30-40 years old, 5ft 9in tall, of a medium build and having a Belfast accent. It is believed he was wearing a hat, grey sweatshirt and dark trousers. The second man is approximately 20 years old, 5ft 10in tall, thin build, also with a Belfast accent and wearing dark hooded top and dark tracksuit bottoms.

Police also want to speak with the occupants of a black Mercedes car that was in the area. Anyone with any information is asked to call 0845 600 8000.
