Police enquiries ‘continuing on behalf of coroner’ after baby girl’s death

The results of a post mortem carried out on a baby girl who passed away suddenly at the weekend have proved inconclusive.

The child had been taken to Craigavon Area Hospital but sadly died on Saturday afternoon.

Police had been called to a house in the Old Forge estate in Killylea and later confirmed that an investigation had been launched.

A post mortem was carried out this morning (Tuesday).

A PSNI spokesperson said the results were “inconclusive” and added: “Enquiries are continuing on behalf of the coroner.”
