Police appeal on hooded teen after ‘hate crime’ incident

Police in Lurgan are appealing for information following an incident of criminal damage which is being treated as a hate crime.

Constable Steven Haire said the incident happened at around 6pm on Wednesday, November 26, when damage was caused to the window of a house in Murraywood, Waringstown.

“A male teenager was seen running away from the area with his hood up around this time,” he explained

“We are treating this as a hate crime and would like to hear from anyone who has information in relation to this incident. We can be contacted in Lurgan on 101, quoting ref: 196271114.”
