One further Covid-related death in NI with three new cases reported in ABC borough

There has been one further Covid-related death reported by the Department of Health in Northern Ireland today (Thursday).

That’s according to the official dashboard.

As it stands, the Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council area accounts for 285 deaths overall. Newry, Mourne and Down District accounts for 166 deaths while Mid-Ulster has registered 205 deaths.

The overall total number of deaths recorded by the Department still stands at 2,149.

There were a further 99 positive cases reported in the last 24 hours with three in Armagh, Banbridge and Craigavon. There were 11 in Newry, Mourne and Down and Mid-Ulster District recorded 10 in that time.

A total of 2,796 individuals were tested.

There are 46 – four less than Wednesday – people in hospitals across Northern Ireland as a result of the virus, three – down one – of whom are in intensive care units.

Currently, there are currently 10 people in hospitals across the Southern Trust area – seven of those are in Craigavon.

There are currently 12 ICU beds available in Northern Ireland.
