There has been a major accident on the A1 outside Newry this afternoon (Friday).
The one-vehicle collision occurred on the Dublin Road.
The Dublin Road is now closed between the Old Dublin Road and Clontigora Road.
Emergency services, including the NI Air Ambulance is on the scene.
The police are advising motorists to avoid the area and seek alternative route if possible.
