Police seize a large quantity of fireworks from a pop-up stall in Jonesborough, county Armagh earlier this morn ing (Sunday).
Posting on social media, a PSNI spokesperson said: “Officers from our district support team this morning came upon a white pop up tent and tables in Jonesborough with an array of fireworks on display.
“Strangely no one was there to speak with our officers about ownership of these fireworks so they have now been seized and taken away for a short period of safe storage before they will be safely destroyed.
“If anyone has any information or would like to know where their fireworks have went please get in touch tel 101 reference 77429/10/17.
“It is an offence to both sell and purchase fireworks without the appropriate licensing.”

They added: “If you are using fireworks this year please do so with care and consideration for your neighbours and pets in your area and be careful of intrigued young children who just love to get their hands on things or be closer than what they should.”
