Emergency services are at the scene of a collision on the A1 close to Newry.
Police have confirmed they have closed the road near Dromantine, halfway between Newry and Banbridge.

There are no early indications as to the severity of the collision but it is understood that four vehicles have been involved.
Motorists are advised to avoid the area this afternoon as those emergency services deal with the incident.
