Lead and electrical cable taken during latest burglary at new-build housing development

Culprits cut lock at front of building site to gain entry

Burglars have once again targeted a new-build housing development.

The latest incident happened overnight (Tuesday) at Ashgrove Avenue in Newry.

Police are investigating.

A PSNI spokesperson said: “A lock was cut at the front of the building site before entry was gained and lead and electric cable was stolen.

“If you’ve noticed any strange activity at this site, particularly after dark or have any information that could assist us in identifying suspects, please contact us on 101 and quote reference number 359 of the 05/06/2019.”
