Masked man with firearm robs county Armagh convenience store

A man with a firearm robbed a county Armagh a convenience store last night (Monday).

Detectives are appealing for information following an armed robbery at a convenience store on Victoria Street, Lurgan.

Around 8pm a man entered the shop. He had his hood up and his face covered with a scarf and had a firearm in his possession.

He threatened and demanded money from two shop assistants.

He made off with a sum of cash on foot into Victoria Place towards Brownlow Terrace.

The man is described as being around 6ft tall, of slim build with a swarthy complexion. He was wearing a green, waterproof raincoat.

Detective Sergeant Stephen Wilson said: “We would like to hear from anyone who has information which may assist our investigation. We can be contacted in Lurgan on 101, quoting ref: 1103 200715.”
