Man threatens female shop assistant with knife in county Armagh robbery

Shankhill Street, Lurgan

Detectives in Lurgan are appealing for information following an armed robbery at a convenience store on Shankill Street last night.

Around 7.24pm a man, armed with a knife, entered the shop and threatened a female shop assistant.

The man filled a holdall with cigarettes and cash and made off on foot.

The man is described as being around 6ft tall and of medium build. He was wearing tights over his head, yellow washing up gloves, a dark t-shirt under a blue/grey long sleeved jumper, grey cloth track bottoms and black trainers with white soles.

Detective Inspector Will Tate said: “We would like to hear from anyone who has information which could assist our investigation. We can be contacted in Lurgan on 101, quoting ref: 1217 300615.”
