Woman left unconscious after early morning attack at community centre

The woman had her handbag stolen

A woman was left unconscious after she was attacked in an early morning morning assault in Lurgan.

The attacker managed to make off with the woman’s handbag after the vicious theft at Mourneview Community Centre around 9am this morning (Tuesday).

Mourneview and Grey Estate Community Assoc posted on their Facebook page, asking people for help in bringing those responsible for this brutal incident to justice.

“Folks can we ask anyone who was around the community centre at between 8.45am till about 9.15am this morning did yous see anybody running out of the centre from around the side,” the post read.

“One of the staff was assaulted and left unconscious with the attacker fleeing with her handbag she is very shaken up after being struck by an object, if anyone has seen anything can yous either contact the PSNI or contact ourselves to pass any information on.

“We have called down to see the girl and would appreciate any help in catching this or these cretins thank you.”
