Thieves break in to school and steal a number of Apple laptops

Police in Lurgan are appealing for information following a burglary at a school.

Sometime overnight between Tuesday, 26 January and Wednesday, 27 January, entry was forced to a mobile classroom at a school on Cornakinnegar Road, Lurgan. A number of Apple laptops and three guitar amplifiers were stolen.

Constable Michael Allen said: “This equipment is a real loss to the school and to the pupils who use the computers on a daily basis. The laptops contained GCSE and A Level music compositions that were to be examined in May – work that could affect the potential results of these students.

“We are keen to find the stolen equipment and would ask anyone with information in relation to the theft or whereabouts of these items to contact us in Lurgan on 101, quoting ref: 239 270116.”

If you prefer to provide information without giving your details you can contact the independent Crimestoppers charity anonymously on 0800 555 111.
