Natalie McNally murder: ‘End violence against girls and women’ as brother speaks out ahead of funeral

The brother of a Co Armagh woman murdered last week says part of him will “not now ever recover”.

Brendan McNally’s sister Natalie, 32, was 15 weeks pregnant when she was stabbed to death in her Lurgan home eight days ago.

As Natalie’s devastated family prepare for her funeral later today (Monday), her brother Brendan has called for an end to “this violence against girls and women”.

“My lovely sister Natalie, who I watched grow up since we were children,” he tweeted on Christmas Day.

“So smart, strong, independent and capable; cats, dogs; just understanding the things that no one else did.

“A part of my self I will not now ever recover. Please, end this violence against girls and women.”

Natalie funeral service will be held in the family home in Rowan Park, Craigavon this morning at 11am. Burial afterwards in St. Colman’s Cemetery, Lurgan.

The charity Crimestoppers has offered a £20,000 reward for information which leads to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for the murder.

On Thursday, Natalie’s family held a press conference where her brother and uncle spoke to the gathered media.

Niall, Natalie’s youngest brother, appealed to the killer to “do the decent thing” and confess to her killing.

Police have earlier confirmed that Natalie had died a “violent” death at her home in the Silverwood Green area.

In a funeral notice, it said that Natalie and her unborn baby boy, was a precious daughter of Noel and Bernadette and loving sister of Brendan, Declan and Niall, a much loved niece of Seamus, Barry, Liam, Anne, Gerald, Bernadette, Damian, Kathleen, Patricia, Theresa, Laura, Paul, Pauline, Gerard, Ann and her special Uncle B Bernard as well as their families. Loved by Hollie, Kellie, Patrica and Natalie’s wide circle of family and friends.
