Man in tuxedo suffers serious injuries following attack by five men

Antrim Road, Lurgan

A man wearing a tuxedo was approached and attacked by five men.

Police in Lurgan are appealing for information following the vicious, unprovoked assault.

At 1.45am on Monday, 15 February, a 45-year-old man, dressed in a tuxedo, was walking along Antrim Road when a group of five males approached him and engaged him in conversation.

The man walked on and was struck to the back of the head and further assaulted while he was on the ground.

He sustained head and facial injuries.

Police would like to hear from anyone who witnessed this assault or has information that may assist their investigation. They can be contacted on 101, quoting ref: 1342 150216.
