Defence counsel stated that the matter was to be withdrawn for caution to be administered

Polling station local elections

Two Co Armagh men who damaged a Sinn Fein election poster have received cautions as the matters were withdrawn.

Alan William Boyce, 27, of Primrose Hill, and Gary McCullough, 28, of Malcolm Road, Lurgan, both appeared charged with criminal damage at Craigavon Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday.

Court previously heard the offence occurred on May 25 and referred to an election poster belonging to Sinn Fein.

The matter had been listed for attitude to be given but defence counsel stated that the matter was to be withdrawn for a caution to be administered.

This was confirmed by the constable who had connected them to the offence two weeks prior.
