Huge plumes of black noxious fumes stretch into the sky near Loughgall as hundreds of tyres burn out of control.
The photographs were taken this evening opposite the derelict Crossroads Bar, on the Collegelands Road junction with the Cloveneden Road.
One resident told Armagh I : “Hundreds of tyres illegally dumped are burning out of control. The air is full of thick black smoke and fumes.
“The area has been plagued by illegal dumping from household waste to a now regular influx of used tyres.
“Stuff is dumped here daily with hundreds of tyres every month.”
The tyres are burning next to the river and the area is thick with poisonous fumes.
Residents in the area are being advised to close windows.
