Van broken into in Keady town centre and tools stolen in broad daylight

Keady, Co Armagh

A work van was broken into in Keady town centre earlier today (Tuesday).

The van was targeted by opportunist thieves in broad daylight, some time between 11am and 12.45pm.

Police in Armagh are appealing for any witnesses to come forward.

The incident occurred whilst the vehicle was parked at the Old Mill on Kinelowen Street.

Tools were taken which include a 18 volt Dewalt cordless drill, 18 Dewalt cordless SDS drill, Dewalt angle grinder and a Dewalt kango which has a few marks on it.

All other tools are four/five months old.

A PSNI spokesperson said: “Please be aware of the aforementioned items and if you have any information regarding this incident please contact police on 101 and quote serial 535 of 29/01/2019.”
