Jewellery taken in house burglary

POLICE have issued an appeal for help after the theft of a quantity of jewellery during a burglary at Knock Road in Portadown.

Some time between Tuesday afternoon, February 12 and Wednesday evening, February 13, entry was forced to a house and various items taken.

Police are appealing to anyone who has information in relation to the burglary to contact them. They are particularly keen to hear from anyone who has noticed any suspicious activity, whether people or vehicles, over the last few weeks. Detectives can be contacted on 0845 600 8000.

“Police would also encourage the public to contact them straight away if they notice anything untoward or out of place in their own community,” said a PSNI spokesperson. “We would much rather take the time to check on activity that may not be untoward than miss the opportunity to apprehend a crime.”
