Police are treating the man’s death as suspicious.

It is understood that Mr Seeley – who was 33 years of age – had not been seen for several days and the alarm was raised today.

A forensic investigation is underway at the scene in the Taghnevan area.

Upper Bann MLA John O’Dowd spoke of the shock of the local community following the news.

“Our thoughts must be with the family and friends of those affected,” he said.

“Everyone in the Taghnevan and wider community will be shocked by this death.”

Police tonight said they were continuing to investigate the circumstances.

A post-mortem examination will take place to determine the cause of death.

Detective Chief Inspector Eamonn Corrigan, who is leading the enquiry, said: “If anyone saw anything unusual in the Dingwell Park area in recent days, we would like them to contact detectives at Mahon Road police station by calling the non-emergency number 101. Information can also be passed anonymously via the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
