Darkness into Light is coming to Crossmaglen on next month.
Each year, thousands of people across Ireland and internationally take part in a pre-dawn walk to raise awareness of suicide and support services available to people affected by suicide and self-harming.
The residents of Crossmaglen are delighted be a part of this global event and have partnered with P.I.P.S Newry and Mourne in raising money to deliver vital programmes and services in Armagh.
This is the first time this event is occurring in Armagh and they want as many people to be a part of it!
On 11 May the light will spread across the world in over 200 venues, including Crossmaglen, in 19 countries across five continents.
Hundreds of thousands of people around the world will get together to walk 5km from the darkness of night into the light of morning to help us in the global fight against suicide and self-harm.
Symbolically the walk represents the therapeutic counselling journey. It sparks conversation about the importance of mental health and wellbeing in all our lives.
Your support of this event will help our 2019 Crossmaglen charity partner, P.I.P.S., to deliver vital programs in their local area.
