Owner’s appeal over stolen iPhone 7 with cherished pictures of new-born baby

Phone went missing from toilets

An appeal has gone out for help in finding a phone containing pictures of huge sentimental value which was stolen this afternoon.

The iPhone 7 was taken from the ladies’ toilets at Rushmere Shopping Centre.

The owner is said to be “very distressed” and is keen to have it returned.

Her fiance contacted Armagh I and hopes that someone might be able to help.

He explained: “She put it on top of the toilet roll holder to go to the toilet and washed her hands and left the toilet. She walked out of the toilet but when she went back it was gone.”

The phone contained photographs of a deceased family member, as well as pictures of the couple’s 11-week-old baby boy.

Security guards at the centre have checked CCTV but to no avail, and the cleaner has also searched without luck.

If anyone has any information or can help please contact Gareth on 075 1245 7376.

A reward will be offered for its return.
