Two hooded men dressed in boiler suits and armed with metal bars have robbed a shop in Craigavon this evening (Tuesday).
Police are appealing for witnesses, and at the same time warning the public to be vigilant, following the incident at the Costcutter at Kernan Shops around 6.30pm.
The two men men off from the store on foot towards Lurgan. It is unknown whether they got into a vehicle or not.
A PSNI spokesperson said: “The men may be brandishing metal bars and a red biscuit tin containing stolen cash.
“If anything known or witnessed, please call 101 immediately. Do NOT approach these men if seen and if anything found which has been discarded, please do not touch.”
If anyone was in the area around this time and saw any suspicious activity, or anyone who has information about this to call police in Lurgan on the non emergency number 101, quoting reference 1151 of 22/01/19.
Alternatively, information can also be provided to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 which is 100% anonymous and gives people the power to speak up and stop crime.
