Co Armagh holidaymakers finally reunited with luggage after Spanish mix-up

It took a while but all’s well that ends well!

The Co Armagh women who had a luggage ‘malfunction’ after a mix-up in suitcases at the start of their Spanish holidays have finally been reunited with their belongings.

It was on Sunday, July 17, that we appealed for help after Portadown woman Ann King realised that her suitcase – which was identical to that of another traveller – had been taken by mistake.

We asked for help in finding an Emma Kelly from Armagh and over 500 of you shared our appeal.

The mix-up happened in Barcelona.

Thanks to your help, Ann was able to contact Emma, who received her case the next day.

Ann, however, who had been in Barcelona at the starting point for a cruise, had to wait a bit longer for her belongings.

Now back on terra firma, her son has contacted Armagh I to say his mum finally received her suitcase on Sunday night past – July 24.

The delay was due to the schedule and routes of the cruise.

But Ann is delighted to have her belongings back and would like to thank everyone for sharing the appeal and “helping us get this mess sorted”.

So there you have it – a big pat on the back to you all!
