Burglary, drug seizure, life-saving and more – busy week for local PSNI

Police in Craigavon arrested three people following a burglary in Avondale Manor.
At 12.15am on Wednesday, 30 July, police received a report of  suspicious noises and responded immediately. Two males, aged 16 and 24 years old were observed coming out of the rear door of the property and were apprehended.  Both were arrested for burglary.
A third male was seen walking away from the house and was  later arrested for criminal damage and burglary.
All three were released on bail pending further  enquiries.
Police in Craigavon have recovered a small amount of herbal cannabis during a search in Enniskeen on Tuesday, 29 July.
Officers recovered cannabis with an estimated street value of  £300 and a 35 year old man was arrested.
A 30 year old female was arrested for criminal damage, preventing an electricity meter registering  supply and possession of Class B drugs.
Both were released on bail pending further  enquiries.
 
Police in Lurgan recovered a stolen car in the Magheralin area  on Thursday, 31 July.
Police received a report around 1.20am of a silver Toyota Corolla taken from McDonald’s Terrace. Officers attended and located the car on its roof on Damhill Road at 1.34am. Two males, aged 16 and 17 years old were apprehended in Alfred Terrace shortly before 1.45am. The 17 year old male was  arrested for taking and causing damage to a vehicle, dangerous driving, driving whilst unfit and other motoring offences. The 16 year old male was arrested for allowing himself to be carried.
Both were later released on bail pending further enquiries.
 
Police in Lurgan have arrested a man following a report of suspicious activity.
At 2.36am on Friday, 1 August, police received a report of four males acting suspiciously in Glenavon, Mourneview Estate. Officers attended and observed two males. One ran off down a laneway and the second was stopped by police.
A balaclava was located in the immediate area and a bag containing a balaclava, hood and sheathed machete were found in the laneway.
A  24-year-old man was arrested for going equipped.
He was later released on bail pending further enquiries.
 
Police in Lurgan have arrested a man following a one vehicle road traffic collision.
Police were on  patrol in the Aghagallon area on Saturday evening, 2 August, when they observed a black Cherokee Jeep in a ditch at Grants Lane.
A 37 year old man was arrested at the scene and later charged with driving with excess alcohol. He will appear before Craigavon Magistrates’ Court on 27 August.
 
Police in Lurgan helped to resuscitate a female who had lost consciousness during the early hours of Monday, 4 August.
Police received a report of a female having trouble breathing at a house in Pines Park.
Officers arrived at the address within seven minutes and found an unconscious female.  
They commenced CPR until paramedics arrived and the lady was resuscitated.
