An elderly woman has been left reeling after callous thieves ransacked her home in Banbridge.
The perpetrators made off with a quantity of jewellery and some cash from the house in the Annaclone area – just a few miles outside the town.
The elderly lady has been badly shaken by the incident.
Police have appealed for information and urged vigilance.
A PSNI spokesperson said: “If you see any suspicious behaviour, or strange vehicles please let us know.
“Also keep an eye on your neighbours, especially elderly people as they are seen as easier targets. Help us catch those involved by reporting as soon as you can.”
