A new hot food takeaway could be opening at Thomas Street in Armagh.
It will, that is, if Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council serve up approval for a city businessman’s plans.
An application for a change of use has been submitted for 51 Thomas Street.
Owned by an old Armagh family, the premises have traded for many years as Oliver’s fruit and veg shop.
Now proposals have been brought forward by Brendan Oliver.
He is seeking approval for a change of use from an “existing shop” to open a “hot food takeaway business”.
The application is due to be publicly advertised this week with a decision expected in due course.
