Man denies stealing fuel from Armagh business three times in two days

A date will be fixed for contest next month

A man accused of stealing £99 worth of fuel from an Armagh business will contest the charges against him.

The 42-year-old is alleged to have committed the offences over three separate occasions within two days.

Darius Tamutis, of Killuney Drive, appeared charged with three counts of theft at the city’s Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday.

Standing in the dock, the defendant elected for the matter to dealt with in the Magistrates’ Court and entered pleas of not guilty to all the offences.

Court heard the defendant allegedly stole £33 worth of fuel on three separate occasions in a two day period from Curran Commercials Limited.

These offences were were alleged to have happened on May 11 and 12 of this year.

The case was adjourned until September 10 for a date to be fixed.
