There has been a serious water mains burst affecting hundreds of Armagh homes this afternoon (Saturday).
Homes on both sides of Portadown Road and Deansbridge area of Armagh have been impacted as a result.
SDLP Councillor Thomas O’Hanlon described it as a “major” issue at present.
NI Water are currently on the scene assessing the damage.
Councillor O’Hanlon said: “I have spoken to NI Water, engineers are assessing the extent of the problem and at this stage there is no estimated time for the restoration of supply. I’ll continue to engage with them and update the situation as and when more information is available.”
