Lord Mayor of Armagh City, Banbridge & Craigavon Borough Council Alderman Gareth Wilson has hosted the members of Portadown Bright Hour senior citizens group.
The group meet in Bethany Free Presbyterian Church in the town and the one of the main figures in the group is former DUP Councillor Woolsey Smith.
Lord Mayor Gareth Wilson said: “It was great to be able to host Bright Hour and thanks to my colleague councillor Margaret Tinsley for proposing a reception for this great group of people.
“The group meet once a month and Woolsey ensures they all enjoy a wide range of activities and trips and I know from speaking to many of them they really enjoy getting together and the fellowship is an important element.”
He concluded: “I wish all the members of the group well for 2018 and thank them for coming to visit the Palace.”
