The volunteer led charity committed to spreading kindness, iCare has today launched its “iCare at Christmas – Kindness without limits” gift campaign 2021.

With a target of collecting 2,021 Christmas presents for teenagers, young adults, single parents, elderly living alone, those in sheltered accommodation, women’s aid, temporary accommodation and experiencing homelessness; the campaign has received the support of Lord Mayor of Armagh, Banbridge, Craigavon Borough Council, Alderman Glenn Barr.

Launched in 2018 by iCare, a self-funded, volunteer-led charity, the aim of the campaign is to spread kindness at Christmas and provide gifts to those who, due to their circumstances are often overlooked.

Speaking at the launch, iCare Co-Founder Janine Smalls said: “Last year, we were overwhelmed with the support, kindness and generosity of the public and local businesses and delivered over 1,500 gifts across Northern Ireland and in the greater Dublin area.

“Knowing that we have made someone smile on Christmas that otherwise may not have received a gift, is something to feel really proud of.”

Lord Mayor of Armagh, Banbridge, Craigavon Borough Council, Alderman Glenn Barr, “The iCare at Christmas 2021 Gift Campaign celebrates the importance of kindness, of giving and of playing our part to make a difference to those most vulnerable. I am certain that our local communities and businesses will get behind the campaign again this year and I wish the fantastic iCare team the very best of luck.”
